About Us

Established in 1999, the Cedar Mill Farmers Market serves as an outdoor weekly community hub (May through mid-October) for fresh local produce and products. We offer a place to support local farmers, try tasty food, and enjoy live music. It's a great way to spend a Saturday morning with family and friends, rain or shine. The market is family and pet-friendly. Everyone is welcome!

Our mission is to create a community space for people to shop for local produce and products and to gather with friends. We aim to partner with farms and small businesses to enhance community health and economic growth. We aim to be a vibrant part of the community's health by providing food and nutrition education and by supporting local farmers.

Our Core Values:

Healthy food for all: All people deserve access to affordable, fresh, and nutritious food. We accept SNAP/EBT & offer DUFB & Cash Match.

Education: Our market helps our community learn about where their food comes from, the value of buying local, and gives ideas on how to prepare the ingredients they purchase at the market through our Chef At The Market Booth.

Partnerships: Staff, board, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and community partners work together to make our market happen.

Quality: We have high standards of excellence in our conduct, product, and ethics.

Community: We build, enhance, and strengthen community connections in a diverse and engaging meeting place.

Community and Educational Focus: Youth can learn about healthy eating and “how things grow” through educational activities at our Power of Produce Youth Program Booth. Kids who participate receive special market tokens to purchase fruits and vegetables from our farmers, enhancing their educational experience.

Cedar Mill Farmers Market is run by a small team, including two part-time staff and a Board of Directors. Our Market Manager, Karen Carroll, is celebrating her 10th market season with us.
